Grandparents/Grandfriends Day 2018
Grandparents/Grandfriends Day, 9th November 2018
Last Friday, St Mary's School had their annual Grandparents/Grandfriends day. Firstly, we all went to the Grandparents mass - it showed us how we should all remember our grandparents and how respectful we should be to them.
Then, after that, we went back to our classrooms and had our shared morning tea! That was when my grandparents arrived. We had some food, then went out to play. I was part of the Marimba Group at our school, so I had to go to the hall and practise.
At around 11:15, the school performance started. Our turn to perform wasn't until about 11:45, so we had to wait a long time! When it finally was our turn, we got to play three songs. Some students played a bit wrong to how we were meant to, but it didn't really matter.
Overall, I think that Grandparents/Grandfriends day was a really awesome event and I hope each one in the future is as good as this one.
